Ofsted and SIAMS Reports

Ofsted Report

The most recent Ofsted inspection at Saint Gabriel’s College was in April 2024, in which we were judged to be a 'good' school. Our last fully graded Ofsted inspection was in November 2018.

Inspectors found the school to be good overall and outstanding for the care and welfare of students.

This is a caring school with an inclusive ethos. Leaders have created a strong community feel. The values of the ‘SGC Way’ underpin all aspects of school life. Pupils spoken to said, ‘this school is very welcoming and open’ and ‘it feels like family’. They behave well during lessons and around the school site.

SIAMS Report

The most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools (SIAMS) was in 2019, where Saint Gabriel's College was given the overall judgment of "excellent".

The school is highly regarded by the local community because of the way it puts its Christian vision into practice. The school community seeks to serve others in practical ways. This results in students engaging in remarkable acts of courageous advocacy.

Students and staff are articulate advocates for change, challenging injustice and inequality in significant practical ways.

Commitment to excellence shines as a beacon of hope. Students see possibilities, opportunities and are motivated to bring about change for the better as a result.
