Careers Advice and Guidance

Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is central to Saint Gabriel’s College’s commitment to raising achievement for all students. A young person’s career is their journey through learning and work, and it is essential that they are supported in making informed decisions about their future.

At Saint Gabriel’s College, all students follow a planned programme of careers education to help them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make successful transitions both within school and beyond. Our CEIAG provision aims to raise aspirations, support informed decision-making, and enable students to become confident, active participants in society.

We support students in developing a positive self-image and building the confidence required to plan for their future pathways.

Our CEIAG Programme

Saint Gabriel’s College is committed to providing all students in Years 7–11 with a comprehensive CEIAG programme aligned to the eight Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance.

Our programme provides:

  • Up-to-date and impartial careers information
  • Opportunities for meaningful encounters with employers and workplaces
  • Support at key transition points
  • A structured careers curriculum delivered through advisory and enrichment

The CEIAG programme is designed to prepare students for the changing world of work and to equip them with the skills needed to manage future choices, transitions and responsibilities.
